Funeral services for Rhett Burton Flake Sr., 45, of 2158 Beechcreek Road, Lexington, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Debra Anne Armstrong and the Rev. Jack Poole officiating. Burial will be in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, I-26 Exit 129, three miles south right in Andrew Chapel Trail.
Mr. Flake died Sunday, Jan. 28.

He was born in Columbia, a son of Carrie Harter Flake and the late Albert Sidney Flake Jr. He was a 1979 graduate of Swansea High School and a 1986 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a BA in Business. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Mr. Flake was employed with Michelin Corporation of America, Lexington Plant. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a member of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club and was an antique tackle collector. Mr. Flake was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. Burton and Anna were the love of his life. He will be deeply missed by friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Tanya Mullins Flake of the home; a son, Rhett Burton Flake Jr. of the home; a daughter, Anna Frances Flake of the home; mother, Carrie Harter Flake; two brothers, Ted Albert Flake and wife, Chris of Richmond Hill, Ga. and Russell Mark Flake and wife, Jo Ann, of North; one niece; and three nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home. At other times friends may call at the residence.
