Erma Lee Taylor Barker Gray was born in Tanglewood [sic] to Ed Taylor and Ola A. Pounders. She married Jessie Allen Barker in 1946 at McDade and was a homemaker. Mrs. Gray died on a Friday at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale. She was a resident of the Sandy Creek community near Rockdale for twenty-four years. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her first husband, Jessie Barker; her second husband, Archie Gray; a son, Jimmy Bruce Claire; two grandsons, Terry Barker and Larey Barker; and a great granddaughter, Samantha Koken. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, October 24, 2000 at Hugh Wilson Cemetery in the Tanglewood Community. Rev. Charles Cole of First Baptist Church in Milano officiated.
