LAFAYETTE -- Funeral services will be held at a 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, May 22, 2000, in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Rose Guidry, 94, who died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, May 19, in Magnolia Place Nursecare Center.

Interment will take place in St. John Cemetery.

Rose, daughter of the late Charles Guidry and the former Anna Landry, was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. She was a member of Holy Cross Church Parish.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and sisters, Wilson, Gladys, Lydia, Amiee, Sadie and Hortense; and seven half brothers and sisters, Mozar, Phillip, Andrew, Mayo, Alzina, Lucius and Jean Batiste.

Pallbearers will be 1,2,3,and 4. Honorary pallbearers will be 1,2, and 3.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to service time Monday.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Magnolia Place Nursecare Center and Hospice of Acadiana for the loving care that was given to Ms. Guidry.

died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, May 19, in Magnolia Place Nursecare Center. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 10 a.m. to service time Monday, Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, are funeral directors handling arrangements.
