The News-Herald, Wednesday, Nov 2 1983:
Mrs. Isabelle Seely, 79, of Carlton RD 1, died at her home at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. She was born in Carlton Jan. 24, 1904, a daughter of William Henry and Martha Mook Hart.

She was first married to Richard Vernon Baker, who died June 10, 1965. She married Lawrence J. Seely Sept. 27, 1969 and he died April 30, 1977. She was a devoted member of the Canal Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Wilson of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Ruby Baker of Lake Tahoe, CA; Mrs. Leland (Shirley) Sundstorm of Salem, Ohio; seven sons, Eugene Baker, Yucaipa, CA; Charles Elmer Baker of North Ogden, Utah; Robert Paul Baker of Culver City, CA; Donald Glenn Baker, Albuquerque, NM; James L. Baker of Franklin; Clair D. Baker of Charleroi, NM, and Vernon Lee Baker of Cochranton; six stepchildren, Ronald and James R. Seely of Cochranton; Norman R. Seely, Salem, Ohio; Mrs. Lawrence (Pauline) Shirley, Cooperstown; Mrs. Richard (Jean) Phillips of Troy, Ohio, and Mrs. David (Wanda) Jewell of Carlton; a brother, James L. Hart of Carlton; six sisters, Mrs. Bertha Proper, Carlton; Mrs. Gladys Paoly, Cochranton; Mrs. Pearl Dice, Meadville; Mrs. Garce Orr, Polk; Mrs. Stella Herman, North East, and Mrs. Eleanor Koos, Harborcreek; 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren. A brother, Lewis Hart; and two sisters, Caroline Seely and Emily Myers, are deceased.

Services will be from the Canal Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev. John Woodward, pastor of the Canal church, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
