Mrs. Charles Alstrom, aged 54 years, the daughter of Strearns county pioneers, died Saturday morning at her home near Halliday, N.D., after a short illness. Mrs. Alstrom visited here on November 1, and appeared to be in good health. She had apparently been ill only a short time. The remains are being taken to Hastings, Minn., where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and interment made in the cemetery there. Mrs. Alstrom ws formerly Helen Berger, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Berger, early pioneers of this country. She was born in St. Augusta. The survivors are the husband, two sisters and three brothers-Mrs. Leonard Dominik, Watab; Mrs. Joseph Arnold, Kingston; Frank Berger, St. Nicholas; Henry and John Berger, Clear Lake. Mr. Alstrom was formerly a Minneapolis oculist, but ill health forced him to retire to a ranch in North Dakota.
