Walter G. Fisher, 78, of 1421 N. 10th St., Pekin, died Monday, April 27, 1992, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Aug. 10, 1913, in Green Valley to John and Marguerite Elizabeth Gebhart, he married Constance Menssen on July 4, 1957, in Peoria.

She survives along with one sister, Alice Martin of Pekin; and one brother, John Jr. of Green Valley.

He worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria and Morton for 28 years, retiring in 1971. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1232 and Pekin Moose Lodge. He was a member of William Schaefer American Legion and was an honorary member of the Marine Corps League.

Private entombment will be at Lakeside Mausoleum in Pekin.
