Delilah grew up in Appanoose CO, Iowa where her parents Calvin Jackson and Ellen Watkins are one of the first to settle in the area that later became Jerome.
Her older sister Hulda married John Haver (Brother of Thomas) in 1873 and they moved to Kansas. Followed soon by Thomas and John's brother Hiram Haver. Plus by Hulda and Delila' brother Thomas Jackson along with there wives. So in 1884 when Delilah married younger brother Thomas Haver, off to Kansas they went too.
They had plenty of family in the area to keep them company.
Thomas and Delilah had 4 children before Thomas died in 1915. After his death Delilah lived the rest of her life with her daughter Essie and was a good mother to all of them as noted on each of there stones.
