Edward Hatten died on Tuesday at the home of his son Herbert in Ripley, of old age, being 99 years and 6 months old, nearly a century. The old gentleman was highly respected and beloved. The funeral took place Thursday.
Note: birth year as reported in 7 US and state census returns 1812 -1818, average of 1816, making him 89 yrs old, not 99. Reported as 88 years of age in the 1905 census.
