He was born October 27, 1907, in Lehi, Utah, to Lily Rawlins and Elisha Brown. Married Laura Snyder, later divorced. Married Florence Waddoups, April 4, 1932, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple June 6, 1955. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Served in various callings in the East Stratford Ward. Sang with the ward choir, president of the ward choir, counselor in sunday school, and High Priest.
Douglass worked for Nelson Ricks, Best Foods, Safeway in Helper and Price, Utah, and Winnepeg, Canada. He was a salesman for Kraft Foods, retired October 1972. He loved golfing, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed being with his family. He was a loving, kind husband and father. Douglass was sought after for good advice and helped in problem solving. He was a cherished friend to all people and had no enemies.
Survived by his wife, Florence; sons, Ronald D. (LaMona) Washington, MO.; Michael C. (Pat) Sandy; Stephen B. (Peggy) Brown, Bountiful; daughter, Carole B. (Calvin K.) Smith, Sandy; sister, Martha Day, Draper; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 14, 1997, 12 Noon, at the East Stratford Ward, 2605 South 1500 East. Friends may call Sunday eve from 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, and one hour prior to service at the ward on Monday. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
