Donald Merle Buss, 97, of Mexico, Mo., died Tuesday at Mexico Manor Nursing Home. He was born Dec. 29, 1908, in Wittman, Kan., a son of W.H. and Bertha Knox Buss. On March 3, 1926, in Winfield, Kan., he was married to Naomi Notestine, who died July 12, 1986.
Mr. Buss lived in west Fortuna for 46 years. He moved to Tipton in 1983. He farmed and raised cattle. He retired from Kraft Dairy in 1970, after hauling milk for 28 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tipton, where he was a deacon and trustee.
Surviving are a son, Donald William Buss; three daughters, Lois Mahoney, Phyllis Kirchner and Donna Pritchard; and a brother, Gerald Buss.
He was also predeceased by two brothers, Wendell and Wesley; two sisters, Marie Parks and Nita Crouch; a grandson; and a great grandson.
