OBITUARY=CLARION DEMOCRAT-JULY 4,1902
Aaron, Jacob T.-died at his home in Brookville on Thursday, July,17,1902, age about 71 yrs. His death was due to a general breaking down of his health. Mr. Aaron has not been strong for several years, and had been gradually growing weaker. Mr. Jacob Thomas Aaron was born in Limestone Twp. near Crates about 1831. For a greater part of his life Mr. Aaron lived in the vicinity of Crates until 12 years ago when he moved to Brookville. He was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church, a good neighbor and a kind father and husband. The deceased is survived by his wife and six children, one son, Rev.Stephen Aaron, having died several years ago. The surviving children are; Mrs. Ed Reinsel, Crates; one daughter who is in the Convent at Erie in the order of St. Joseph, and Jennie at home; Augustine at Erie, Edgar of Oil City; and Joseph of Brookville, who with a host of friends mourn their loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Winkler of Brookville in the Catholic Church at Crates on Sunday and the interment was made in the cemetery atthat place. NOTES; Son of the late Joseph and Margaret Elizabeth Topper Aaron, Jacob was married to Emily Sarah Cummings on Sept.6,1857.
