WIFE OF DALBEY, ROY RUSSELL
1ST LT US ARMY AIR FORCES-Clara Mae (Teddy) Dalbey-

January 12, 1920 ~ June 9, 2013

Clara Mae (Teddy) Dalbey passed away at her daughter's home from natural causes. She was 93 years young. Born in Cloud Chief, OK to Iva Lavisa and Charles Rutherford Haller, Teddy was raised on a farm in Monmouth, OR. She received her Teaching Degree through Oregon State and the Oregon College of Education. She began teaching grade school at age 19 in Eastern Oregon and eventually settled back in the Willamette Valley. On June 14, 1947,she married Roy Russell Dalbey in Oregon City, OR and began her greatest fulfilling career of being a wonderful and devoted mother to Tom, Jim and Barbara. In 1959, the family re-located to Aberdeen, WA. As a wife and mother, she was un-selfish and willing to go with the flow when it came to camping, fishing, hunting and flying. Unknown to most people, she was a gifted singer being raised in a musical family. Music, drama, opera and poetry was her fondest memories growing up. Besides her family, reading was her passion. Once her children were grown, she and Roy moved to the Seattle area where she was close to her grandchildren whom she loved so deeply. A description of Teddy would be kind, sweet, and cute with a great sense of humor. She made you feel good when you were in her presence. She will be so missed by so many people. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy and son's Tom and Jim. Surviving is her daughter Barbara (Larry) and her beloved grandchildren Matt, Lindsey, Michael, Brian and Shireen. She was also so loved by her daughter-in-laws, nieces, and nephews and just about everyone she met. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
