Married Aug. 8, 1942

Hazel “Duggins” Brewer, 98, of Gainesville, MO passed away March 17, 2020 at her residence. She was born November 18, 1921 in Ocie, MO to Ira and Ethel (Tannehill) Duggins.
On August 8, 1942 Hazel was united in marriage to Joe Brewer. To this union three children were born. Hazel and Joe moved to California for a short time, then moved to Wichita, KS where they both found work. Hazel began a 35-year career at Cessna Aircraft working in electrical wiring. She and Joe enjoyed 57 years together traveling, camping and listening to bluegrass music festivals. After his death in 1999, Hazel moved back to Gainesville, MO where she attended Mammoth Assembly of God Church and remained close to her family here. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who was loved and will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by two children Charlene Graham and Rocky Brewer both of Gainesville, MO; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters Delphia Homes and Ruby Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe Brewer; one son Jim Brewer; one grandson Bryce Brewer; and one brother Fray Duggins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2020 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Burial will be in the Lutie Cemetery. Due to the current health risks associated with large gatherings, a “come and go” type visitation will be Wednesday, March 25th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. The family asks that donations be made to Three Rivers Hospice, PO Box 901 Broadway, West Plains, MO 65775. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
