Services for Steven Carl Peavy, age 58, of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Graham Memorial Nazarene Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Mr. Harold Peavy will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church at 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Mr. Peavy died Thursday, September 25, 2014.
Mr. Peavy, employed by Sumter Utilities, worked with utilities and construction. He loved spending time with family and friends. Mr. Peavy was preceded in death by his father, Dan Peavy.
Survivors include his children, Dan Peavy and Amy Peavy; mother, Mary Braddy Peavy; grandson, Hayden Peavy, all of East Dublin; sisters, Dannelle (Mark) Melton, of East Dublin, Gail (Richard Brandon) Simmons, of Rentz, Reita (Al) Ussery, of East Dublin; nephew and nieces, Mitch (Kristina) Melton, Ashley (Josh) Chafin, Cricket Ussery, all of East Dublin; sister, Terri Hutcheson, of Meeks; and several great nieces and nephews.
Mitch Melton, Josh Chafin, Ricky Peavy, Greg Glover, Dustin Franks, and Toby Martin will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Graham Memorial Nazarene Church, 112 Graham Church Road. East Dublin, GA 31027.
