In ill health for many years, Mrs. Anton Myska of Rosholt, a lifelong resident of Portage county, died at 4:50 Monday at the Worzalla Nursing Home in Amherst. She would have been 69 years old next week. Mrs. Myska had been at the Amherst nursing home since January 25th, and was previously a patient in St. Michael's Hospital since May 1, 1962. She had been confined to her bed the past two years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, Town of Alban. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery later. Friends may call at the Dzikoski Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The general rosary will be recited there Wednesday evening, when the Rosary Society of the parish will also say prayers. Mrs. Myska was a member of the society.
The former Balvina Betker was born in Alban March 27, 1894, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Betker. She was married in St. Adalbert's Church October 1, 1912 to Mr. Myska, and the couple farmed near Rosholt for several years afterward. They then moved to the Betker family homestead in Alban, living there until Mr. Myska retired from farming five years ago. They settled in Rosholt.
Surviving arre her husband; four sons, Herman, Hatley, and Leo, Ernest and Anthony, Milwaukee; five daughters, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Suski, Town of Buena Vista, Mrs. Stanley (Helen) Konkol, Town of Stockton, Mrs. Alfred (Dorothy) Kluetz, Wausau, Mrs. Edwin (Annie) Bonk, Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. Hilary (Betty) Yenter, on the homestead in Alban. There are also two sisters, Mrs. Polly Zywicki, Alban, and Mrs. Chester (Mary) Irish, Laona, Wisconsin; 26 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
