Joseph Barlow was a son of Oscar I. Barlow and Phoebe Ellen Flint. He married Marjorie Dalton in October 1940. She died three months after their marriage. He then married Helena Deboer on May 26, 1943. She also preceded him in death.
He is survived by six children, Carol Schlund (Jim), Brent J. Barlow (Janet),Jean Chopski (Tom), Kenneth D. Barlow (Gaylene), Connie Belnap (Larry) and Jeffery D. Barlow, 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren;, a sister-in law, Clara Barlow and brother-in-law, Frank Eliason.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Golden (Nethella) Barlow and Grant Barlow and sisters, Myrtle (Melvin) Ainsworth, Adelia (Bob) Hellewell, Genevieve (Harold) Mortensen and Gertrude Eliason.
