(568.) Isaac-6 Hollister. (Isaac-5; Timothy-4; Joseph-3; John-2; John-1.) Isaac-6, son of Isaac-5 Hollister, and Elizabeth Newcomb, was born Jan. 21, 1781, he married Ruth Winchell, Jan. 2, 1801, she was a daughter of James Winchell and Mary Ferguson, and was born Aug. 22, 1782, she died in 1870. Isaac Hollister moved from Ulster, to Tomkins Co., NY., in 1813, where he bought 300 acres of land, which is still owned by his children. The country was then new, and mostly forest. He was for many years, deacon of the Baptist church in which his son, Kinner was minister, was well-known throughout the country, as an energetic resolute man, too much inclined to rule, and have his own way. If he was on a jury, the case was pretty sure to be decided as he said, He died Sept. 3, 1848.
