She married Adrian Smolen in 1954. He died in 1962. She later married Robert Hermann in 1964.

She is survived by a son, Craig Smolen, Lakewood, Colorado; daughters, Teresa (Andy) Youtz, Denver, Colorado, Christy Smolen, St. Helena, California and Barbara Monahon, Wheatridge, Colorado; brother, George (Ginger) Stahler, Pontiac; sisters, Vera Gernentz, Pontiac, Margie (Gary) Grafton, Ohio and Eileen (Ed) Kniery, Springfield; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
