ADAMS, Arthur V., passed away on September 25, 2014 at the age of 85. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Huguette Siboni Adams; and his three brothers, Maurice, Jack and Carl Adams. Arthur moved from Chicago to California to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was a developer of shopping centers and office buildings for 40 years. He retired in 2005. He was instrumental in bringing Safeway, now Vons, and Circuit City to Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Gloria Cansino Weiner Adams; his two sons, Sidney (Julie) Adams and Brian (Pam) Adams; two stepchildren, Susan (Ronnie) Adolf and Gary (Beth) Weiner; grandchildren, Nicole (John) Hirshberg, Michael (Liz) Adams, Jennifer (Ryan) Connell, Lexie (Jason) Kehrli, Jason (Jaclyn) Adolf, Robin (Daniel) Salzberg, Evan (Katharine) Weiner, Amanda and Cory Weiner; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Madison and Scott Hirshberg, Sullivan and Porter Adams, Cassidy Connell, Ava and Julia Salzberg. Arthur was a caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He was adored by all who knew him. His love and patience for his family and friends initiated his alias of Saint Arthur. He was a member of Congregation Beth Ahabah, the Weinstein Jewish Community Center and the Long Boat Key Country Club in Florida. Arthur and Gloria spent half of the year in Long Boat Key and Richmond, but loved traveling all over the world. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday (today), September 26, at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. Interment will follow at Hebrew Cemetery, 5th and Hospital Streets.
