John A. Babonis, 1033 North Sumner Ave., died last night at home after a brief illness. He was employed as a truck driver for the Scranton Produce Co. prior to his retirement.
A lifelong resident of this city, he was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, and was a son of Marcella Babonis and the late Peter Babonis.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a brother, Timmy Babonis, this city; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Alexander, this city, and Mrs. Francis Tallarico, Dunmore, and three nephews and three nieces.
The funeral will be held from the Edward T. Klimatis Funeral Home, 1640 North Main Ave., at a time to be announced. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and thereafter from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Interment, undecided.
