Marie J. Poole, nee Chaudet, 80, of Columbia, Ill., born July 29, 1934, in Cahokia, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Poole, whom she married on Aug. 2, 1951, in Cahokia, Ill., and who died Feb. 3, 2010; a son in infancy, Robert Poole, Jr.; her parents, Cornelius and Anna, nee Vogt, Chaudet; a sister, Shirley Gregory; and a brother, Donald Chaudet.
Surviving are her children, Becky (Charlie House) Hays of Columbia, Ill., Cheryl (Dee) Needham of Collinsville, Ill., Traci (Tim Mertens) Butz of Millstadt, Ill., Brian (Kim) Poole of Columbia, Ill., and Scott (Lisa Conner) Poole of Granite City, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Dave) Touchette of Columbia, Ill.; her dogs, Toby and Tyson; and other relatives and friends.
