Alice Lavon (Bell) Sharp, 79, St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012, at her home.

Alice was born on October 7, 1932 in King City, Mo to Leonard William and Bonnie Frances (Hailey) Bell. She graduated from the King City High School.

Alice lived in Phoenix, AZ for a short time, Long Beach, CA for 10 years, and Kansas City for 20 years. She also lived in Union Star and King City, Mo.

Alice worked as a lab technician for cook paint and Varnish company in Kansas city, for 20 years, and as a lab technician for Wonder/ hostess.

Alice was a member of St. Rose of Lima in Savannah.

Alice is preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley Goldsmith, and Richard Sharp, and two brothers-in-law.

Surviving family includes daughters, Vickie (Jeff) Clingan, of Van Meter, Iowa; Denise Goldsmith, St. Joseph; sisters, Ella Mae Heintz, St. Joseph; Carol Sue Barton, Kansas city, Mo; Connie Lou Childers, Kansas City, Mo; 5 grandchildren, Chance Stewart, Cody Stewart, Jessica Clingan, Sarah Clingan, and Heidi Clark, and five great-grandchildren.

Mass of christian burial Friday, Jan. 27 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Savannah, Mo. Father Peter Ulrich celebrant. interment King City Cemetery, King City, Mo. care provided by Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers:Paul Heintz, Daniel Heintz, Rodney Barton, Rick Childers, Chance Stewart and Cody Stewart.
