A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Fitz Henry Funeral Home chapel in Indio for Myrtle Agnes Carter, 86, of San Jacinto. She died in Hemet Sunday. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m Thursday at the chapel. A resident of the Coachella Valley for 35 years, she moved to San Jacinto eight years ago. She is survived by three daughters, Glena Peeler of West Los Angeles, Madge Tonkovich of Arkansas, Winifred Gannon of San Jacinto; five sons, Harold Long of Indio, O.M. Carter of Thousand Oaks, Bill Carter of Oregon, Gene Carter of Riverside and Kenneth Carter of Texas; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Burial will be at the Coa?hella Valley Cemetery.
