Services were held for Robert Grant Dunson, 83, of Indio, who died Tuesday in Indio Community Hospital. A native of Arkansas, he lived in Indio for 38 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Lona Dunson; three sons, Melvin Dunson of Indio, Elvin Dunson and Eligah Dunson. both of Azusa; three daughters, Essie Dunson Bridges of Indio, Racheal Dunson Sharp of Coachella and Molly Dunson Powers of Rialto; two brothers, .Johnny Dunson and Edgar Dunson. both of Texas; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Interment was in Coachella Valley Cemetery, Fitz Henry Funeral Herne handled arrangements.
