Clifford F. Ostrander, age 77, of Omro, died peacefully Monday afternoon, August 25, 2008 at home surrounded by the love of his family. Cliff was born September 16, 1930, in the Town of Buena Vista, near Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Floyd and Ruby (Campbell) Ostrander. He married Patsy Morgan on August 22, 1953 in Bancroft, WI. This union was blessed with eleven children. Cliff and Patsy moved their family to Omro in 1979 when they bought their dairy farm. Farming was a lifelong passion of Cliff's. In addition to farming, Cliff was a horse lover and was an excellent horseman. Family and friends will recall with great fondness his story telling abilities. Some would even say he had the gift of gab. Above all else, Cliff was a true family man. Family was very important to him, and he always looked forward to spending time with this children and grandchildren. Cliff is lovingly survived by his wife, Patsy; his children, Thomas "Butch" (Sharon) Ostrander of Burlington, Charles (Peggy) Ostrander of Burlington, Candy (Garry) Thorman of Ft. Atkinson, Cindy Maloney of Appleton, Patrick (Beverly) Ostrander of Waukau, Catherine Ostrander of Berlin, Jack (Sherri) Ostrander of Berlin and Jim (Dawn) Ostrander of Ripon; 20 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Delbert (Amy) Ostrander of Wisconsin Rapids; sisters, Helen Smith of Hebron, IL and Hazel (Larry) Hansen of Wisconsin Rapids; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Suzanne Ostrander; twin sons, Russell and Phillip; grandsons, Timothy Ostrander, Jim Ostrander, Jr., Jessie Ostrander, and Richard Stork; brothers, Richard and Robert Ostrander; and sister, Mary Jane Krah. In respect to Cliff's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the funeral home in Omro from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and then again on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Omro Cemetery.
