Services for Houston Owens, 84, of Ruston, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2002 in the Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Owens died Thursday, November 28, 2002 in Ruston. Mr. Owens was a native of Lincoln Parish. He was a World War II Army veteran where he had been an ex-POW and had been decorated with the Purple Heart. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Cantrell Owens. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Sue Owens Brody and husband Larry and Ruby Nell Otwell and husband Jesse, all of Ruston, LA; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2002 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
