Richard James English age 81, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 26, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home, with Rev. Ralph Story and Rev. Pat Knowles officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. English was a resident of Milledgeville where he worked and retired from J.P. Stevens and Forstmann with 45 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean English and a great grandchild Hayden Pevey. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served in the Georgia National Guard.
Survivors include his sons, Richard James English, Jr. (Brenda), Benny English (Joann), Charles Anthony English and James Scott English (Julie), two daughters, Melanie Wood (Gator) and Suzanne Brooks (Eddie) all of Milledgeville, a brother George Al English of Milledgeville, a sister Majorie Frazier of Warner Robins, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
