Mary Catherine Kate Brandenburg, 97, departed this life at Traditions Mill Run.

She was born June 29, 1913, in Arcanum, Ohio.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend.

Preceded in death by her parents William and Lulu Long, brothers and sisters Freda Long, Edward Long, Celia Long, Mildred Nicholas, Elizabeth Walter, Gene Long, Marjorie Mong, and husband of 71 years Harry.

Survived by daughter, Jill Burgess; son, Jack (Kathleen) Brandenburg; seven grandchildren, Jade (Karen) Brandenburg, Kate (Tim) Pavey, Jill Brandenburg, Jennifer (Thomas) Harrington, Molly (Craig) Foglietti, Michele (Michael) Costanzi, Michael (Carmen) Norris; 12 great-grandchildren, Joseph and Maria Foglietti, Dylan and Tyler Harrington, Nicholas, Vincent and Donato Costanzi, Megan, Ryann and Lauren Brandenburg, Cecilia Norris, and Jackson Pavey.

The family would like to express thankfulness and gratitude to the staff of Traditions and Heartland Hospice for the exceptional and loving care given to Kate.

A graveside service will be held on September 30, 2010, at Abbotsville Cemetery in Greenville, Ohio at 11 a.m. OHIO CREMATION & MEMORIAL SOCIETY/RODMAN FUNERAL SERVICE.
