Employed by Inland Manufacturing in Dayton Ohio during the war years.

Managed his father's pharmacy in Arcanum and owned & operated the Travel Lodge Motel in Cleveland.

Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend is survived by his wife of 71 years, Catherine; daughter, Jill Burgess; son, Jack (Kathleen) Brandenburg; 7 grandchildren, Jade (Karen) Brandenburg, Kate Brandenburg, Jill Brandenburg, Jennifer (Thomas) Harrington, Molly (Craig) Foglietti, Michele (Michael) Costanzi, Michael Norris; 9 great-grandchildren, Joseph and Maria Foglietti, Dylan and Taylor Harrington, Nicholas, Vincent and Donato Costanzi, Megan and Ryann Brandenburg.

The family will receive visitors at RODMAN FUNERAL SERVICE/Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 5464 N. High St., Columbus, February 3, 2007, from 10–11 a.m., where a Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m.
