Jake Andrew Chavez, 40, of Clovis, NM died Monday, September 22, 2014 at his home in Clovis. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, September 26, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Guillermo Chavez, Lawrence Sena, Adrian Ancira, Mike Chavez, Mark Chavez, and Cecilio Lopez will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Julian Chavez, Mateo Chavez, Esperanza Moncayo, Alicia Deleon, Adela Sena, Leticia Sena, Zachary Connally, and Evalene Conally.

Jake was born April 1, 1974 to Leonard Baca and Christine Chavez in Clovis, NM. He married Bernadette Chavez June 10, 2000 in clovis, NM. Jake was a supervisor at Southwest Cheese and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Knights of Columbus 4205. He enjoyed drawing, airbrushing, and spending time with his nephews and nieces.

Survivors include his wife: Bernadette Chavez of the home; father: Lenard Baca of Reno, NV; in-laws: Billy and Frances Chavez; brother-in-law: Guillermo Chavez of Albuquerque, NM; four sisters-in-law: Evelyn Chavez of Albuquerque, NM, Patricia (Lawrence) Sena of Tucumcari, NM, Teresa (Adrian) Ancira of Clovis, NM, and Adriana Chavez of Clovis, NM; and three sisters: Becky (Jerry) Hemmerling of Edmunton, KY, Yolanda Chavez of Clovis, NM, Gina (Eric) Connaly of Reno, NV. He was preceded in death by his mother: Christine Baca.
