Funeral services for Mrs Betty Linzay will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Reverend Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow at Causey Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Betty Jean Linzay was born August 12, 1933 at Sikes, Louisiana to the late Bennie Alexander Johnston and Elsie Thompson Johnston. She passed away, surrounded by her family, on September 22, 2014 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. Mrs. Linzay was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larche E. Linzay; an infant son, Larche E. Linzay, Jr. and an infant daughter, Nelwyn Linzay.

Mrs. Betty Linzay was a member of the Central Missionary Baptist Church in Bastrop and a retired supervisor with Ditto Apparel. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. Her greatest love on earth was her family and the time spent loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
