Mr. Marques was a native of Arrifes, São Miguel, Azores, and had lived in Los Banos since 1966.
He worked for San Luis Water District for 11 years and previously worked in the dairy industry.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, SES and UPPEC.
He enjoyed gardening and raising goats.
He is survived by his wife, Serafina Marques of Los Banos; children, Noelia Costa and Joe C. Marques, both of Los Banos; sisters, Deolinda Cabral and Diormira Morgado, both of Can-ada; and five grandchildren.Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Whitehurst Fu-neral Chapel, Los Banos, with the rosary at 7 p.m.
A Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Los Banos.
Burial at Los Banos District Cemetery.
