Floyd Melbourne Kirk, 71, of 5008 Argentine boulevard, Wyandotte County, died yesterday at the Wadsworth Veteran's hospital after a 9-day stay. Mr. Kirk was born in Cherokee County, Kansas and had been a resident of Greater Kansas City 5 years. He waw a retired service-station operator. Mr. Kirk was an Army veteran of World War I. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ora L. Kirk, and a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Rider, both of the home; two other daughters, Mrs. Maxine Ritter, 2425 South Thirteenth terrace, and Mrs. Christine Clark, 3923 Washington avenue, both of Kansas City, Kansas; a brother, A. E. Kirk, Cushing, Okla., and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday at the Simmons chapel; burial in Maple Hill cemetery. Friends may call after 6 o'clock tonight at the chapel.
