Dora Tipp, 90, died Sept. 14 at Gatesville. Funeral services will be at 1
p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Evant with Rev. John Weaver
officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurst Ranch Cemetery.
Mrs. Tipp was born March 25, 1913 at Hassell, Quay County, NM to Morris
and Eva Grissom Blackburn.
She was married to Hugo H. Tipp on Nov. 22, 1931 at Pottsville. She was a
devoted helpmate to her husband and a homemaker.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Vera Blackburn of Arkansas and Edna
Crawford of Grand Prairie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and
six brothers. Pallbearers were Doug Forrest, Damon Chumney, Bazil Leach,
Joe Lee, Carl Grubbs and Terry Merchant. Evant Funeral Chapel
