Julia Albertsen was born in Brandon on July 24, 1889 the daughter of Halvor and Nikoline (Aspaas) Bergsvet. Julia's childhood was spent in rural Brandon. She married Adolph Albertsen and they continued to farm and live in Brandon. Mrs. Albertsen was a member of the Chippewa Lutheran Church.
Julia has been a resident of the Pelican Lake Nursing Home for the past four years. Mrs. Albertsen died at the Grant County Hospital on Tuesday, December 18, 1979.
Survivors are one daughter, Lenora Albertsen of Brandon; two sons, Arnold of Brandon and Arvid of Alexandria and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Adolph in 1953, one daughter, brother and sister.
Funeral services were Friday, December 21, 1979, 2:00 p.m., at the Chippewa Lutheran Church with Rev. Gordon L. Grave officiating. Pallbearers were Roy Strom, Hillard Nelson, Glen Nylander, Ole Langos, Clifford Augdahl and Gordon Julseth. Interment was at Chippewa Lutheran Cemetery. Services directed by the Alexandria Funeral Home.
