Mary “Peggy” Ruth O’Neill McMorris

Age 78 and a lifelong resident of Hammond, Peggy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Belle Maison Nursing Home. Peggy was a member of Mandeville Christian Fellowship Church in Mandeville, Louisiana; she loved crocheting, taking pictures of her family and going on mission trips with her church. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Peggy leaves behind her daughter, Barbara Dianne Bailey and husband Charles; sons, Milton Malcolm, Jr. and Dennis Lee McClendon; sister, Inez O’Neill Randall; brothers, Harold, Paul, Thomas and Donald O’Neill; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Peggy in death were her parents, Charles and Inez Eady O’Neill; eight siblings, daughter, Linda Sue Peters, granddaughter, Brandi Chantel

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Michael Nutter will officiate the services and interment will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
