George Elder was the son of George Elder and Catherine Munro. He was one of eleven children. He married Janet Louisa Clark, dau of Robert Clark and Elizabeth Forrester. To this union were born five boys; Robert Clark, David Newton, Nellis George, Clarence John and Keith Forrester. He died at the age of 64 years.
