Later the family moved to Fort Sumner where they remained. Laura moved to Fort Worth where she met Carl Jennings. Later they moved to Kentucky where she worked for General Electric. She and Carl were divorced in 1950's and she moved back to Fort Sumner where she and Wayne operated the Busy Bee Cafe.
There Laura met F.G. (Bill) Hunt and his son Robert (Bob). In July 1956 they were married and ran Hunt's Service Station and Grocery. In 1969 they had a son Bruce and continued in the family business until retirement in 1999.
She was proceeded in death by Bill in 2003, and her last brother, Louis, in 2012. She is survived by Bob his wife Karla, Bruce and his wife Monica, as well as 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
