Obituary
Rebecca May Huddle, infant daughter of Albert B. and Jennie A. Huddle, of Lacey Springs, Rockingham county, Va., died at its home, Aug. 14, 1885, aged a year, 6 months and 8 days.
This precious babe lived long enough to get the strongest affections of the heart of both parents, and then went to live with Jesus, while the parents and many relatives are left to mourn its early departure. Thus has another tender plant been transplanted from exposure the storm and tempest of earth to the calm retreat of peace and shelter in heaven. Little May was a sunbeam to the home, and has now gone to dwell in endless light. May her parents follow on. Even so, Father, for so it seemeth good in Thy sight.
Her funeral took place from Mt. Tabor Church. Saturday, Augusta, 15, services conducted by Rev. D. T. Deams, of the Southern Christian Church. Text 4th chap. and 26th verse of II Kings.
