Edith W. Barron, 86, of Cameron, died Monday, September 15, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at Oak Hill Pavilion with Bill Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Edith, a retired hospital administrator, was born in Brownwood, Texas, to the late L.L. and Leona (Nichols) Walton. She married Noah “Peanut” Barron on October 30, 1953. She had also worked for many years as bookkeeper for Glass the Florist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah; and three infant children.
Survivors include her son, John Barron and wife, Kim, of Cameron; great-granddaughter, Olivia Elliott; sister, Barbara Smitherman Hudson and husband, Ken, of Cameron; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
