Services for Otis Monroe King, 93, whose death occurred last Friday at King City Manor, where he had received nursing care two years, were held Saturday afternoon at the Clark Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Martin Barker, Baptist minister.

Music was by Mrs. Donnie Heath, organist. Pallbearers were Glen Sutton, James Knapp, Everett Rhoad, Paul Standlea, Wayne Hayes and Arch Nance. Burial was in the King City cemetery (sic).

Mr. King was born June 13, 1876, an only child of William Ridge King and Mary Gordon King, and a lifelong resident of the King City area. On Feb. 16, 1908, he married Miss Grace Barker, also a native of King City, who survives. To them were born two sons, Nobel, who died in infancy, and Wayne M. King, who lives in St. Joseph.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, Beverly McGeorge of Kansas City and Richard King of St. Joseph, and one great grandson, James McGeorge of Kansas City.

Mr. King farmed in this area many years and he and Mrs. King had lived in King City since 1944.
