An active member of the LDS Church, Harvin Horald Hunter, 86, died at his home in St. Anthony following a lingering illness. Born in Heman, in Fremont County, the son of Horald Raymond Hunter and Cora Wardle Hunter, he grew up in the Egin Bench area, attending Heman grade school and Sugar-Salem High School. June 14, 1946 in the Idaho Falls Temple, he married Jane Bird. They lived in Camas Meadows, Egin Bench, Parker and in May 1962 moved to St. Anthony.

He served as LDS branch president in Kilgore, was a Sunday School president and high priest group leader. Working hard all his life as a farmer and raising livestock, he was employed for Stone Town and Country Motors and served as sexton at the Wilford Cemetery.

Besides his wife, Jane, and his children: Phyllis (Marvin) Jones, Robert (Debbie) Hunter, Alyss (Steve) Morgan, Janis Hunter, Hollis (Dan) Henry and Mary (Royce) Jackson, he is survived by his bother, Vaughn Hunter; 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. His parents, three brothers and two sisters predeceased Harvin.
