There's some uncertainty about when he was born since his 1900 US Census entry gives a birth month of March 1880 for him but he's not found in the 1880 US Census and his WWI draft registration card gives a February 20, 1881 birth date for him, thus indicating that he claimed the same birth date both in the late 1910s and at the time of his death in the early 1990s. His SSA application from 1957 gives a February 20, 1882 birth date for him:
