Olve was born to A. B. and Nellie Hays. At the age of 5, she moved with her family to North Dakota, where they settled northeast of Reeder. She received her education in the Wolf Butte School. On December 15, 1922, she was united in marriage to John Tweet, of the same township. To this union nine children were born.
Survivers inclde three sons: Oren and Dean of Mullen, Brooklyn, NY; Ruth ventrees and Delores Lammert, shawnee, KS, Irene Anvick, Sidney, MT and Dorothy Paulson, Glendive, MT, one sister, Dora Swenson, Reeder, ND and 43 grandchildren.
