Judy K. Bolin Wilson
15 August 1941 ~ 17 September 2014

Judy K. Wilson, 73, resident of Baxter Springs, KS, passed Wednesday evening September 17th, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. A breast cancer survivor of five years, she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and was undergoing chemo.

Judy was born August 15, 1941 in Baxter Springs, KS to the union of Homer Clare and Dorothy Geraldine (Clark) Bolin.

She graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1959.

She was united in marriage on April 6, 1979 in Grove, OK to Milton “Mike” Ray Wilson.

Judy had many careers in her life, beginning as a meat wrapper at Lyle’s Foodtown and various grocery stores in Baxter and Joplin. She then owned and operated Karen’s Kountry Krafts in downtown Branson for over a decade, returning to Baxter 10 years ago. She worked at Class Ltd for 11 ½ years, she was a DSP direct support professional.

Awards were the Kansas Awards of Excellence in direct support. She was Direct Support Professional of the Year and also had internal awards for Above and Beyond, and the Best and the Brightest.

She loved shopping, traveling and especially enjoyed her trips to New York City.

Judy is survived by two sons, Bruce W. Rardin of Baxter Springs, KS, and Brian K. Rardin of New York, NY; two sisters, Nancy Preddy of Cassville, MO, and Joyce Blizzard of Baxter Springs, KS; three brothers, Freddy Bolin of Baxter Springs, KS, Donnie Bolin of Baxter Springs, KS, and Steve Bolin of Baxter Springs, KS; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton “Mike” Ray Wilson; one brother, Wayne Bolin; and one step daughter Kimberly Wilson.

Judy’s life will be celebrated with a memorial graveside service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Baxter Springs Cemetery.
