MRS. SHARON LOY MILLER CUNDIFF BAKER, age 72, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday evening, September 17, 2014, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born August 29, 1942, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Joseph Nelson and Okel Qualls Miller.

Sharon was a member of the Olive Hill First Baptist Church and retired from the Carter County School System. She was a member of the Olive Hill Eastern Star Chapter No. 290, the Red Hat Society, and the Bethany House Board of Directors. Sharon was actively involved in Relay for Life, the Carter County Shrine Club, and the Olive Hill Community Service organization.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Wayne "Buddy" Cundiff; her second husband, Carlton Carson Baker; and two brothers, Jack Allen Bocook and Gary Lee Miller.

Sharon is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David Aaron and Diana Cundiff and Jonathan Wayne and Kim Cundiff, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four grandsons, Bradley Joseph "B.J." Cundiff, Dalton Wayne Cundiff, Travis Aaron Cundiff and wife Kayla, and Kyle Daniel Cundiff; two great-grandsons, Bryson Keaton Cundiff and Bentley Trace Cundiff; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jackie Bee and Marcella Miller and John Aaron Miller, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and one sister, Billie Joe Shelby of Portsmouth, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members, close friends, and church family who sadly mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014, at the Olive Hill First Baptist Church with Brother Gary Sparks and Pastor David Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky, and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the First Baptist Church. Eastern Star rites will be conducted Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home by the Olive Hill Eastern Star Chapter No. 290.

David Cundiff, Jonathan Cundiff, B.J. Cundiff, Dalton Cundiff, Travis Cundiff, Kyle Cundiff, Charles Baker, Richard Williams, and John Aaron Miller will serve as pallbearers.
