James V. Hammond, 83, for the past 6 years a resident of Marionville,
Died at his home on Missouri Avenue at 2:30 Thursday afternoon, October 6, from complications incident to age. He had been in failing Heath for several months becoming bedfast he last month. - Mr. Hammond was born Ashtabula County, Ohio, June 11, 1850. He lived in Neosho before coming to Marionville 6 years years ago. Mr Hammond is survived by his widow and 9 children.
B.F. Hammond, Vernal, Utah, Mrs. C.H. Johnson, Mrs. W.A. Teall, and Mrs. A. R. Duncan of Oklahoma City,, W.E. Hammond Grand Rounde, Oregon, T.J. Hammond, address unknown, Mrs. W.B. Wilson of May, Oklahoma, Mrs. L.D. Crisman, Treton, Mo.,, and A.L. Dockum, Las Animas, Colorado.
Funeral services were held from the residence Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. M.P. Murphy. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
