Anna Elizabeth Roberts was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Anna Schaefer Roberts and John Kilpatrick Roberts, a dentist. After graduating from Parkersburg High School in 1924, Elizabeth graduated from Marietta College in 1928, then completed graduate work at several universities. Elizabeth and Dean Joseph Peaker were united in marriage in Wood County, West Virginia on December 12, 1936. The couple had no children. She was employed as a Guidance Counselor at Williamstown High School, Williamstown, WV for many years. Elizabeth spent her retirement years in Deland, Florida where she was active in the Deland Woman's Club. In 1995, the last will and testament of Anna Elizabeth Roberts Peaker established "The Roberts Fund" at Marietta College. Annual income of the fund provides assistance to worthy students of Marietta College, particularly students from Wirt and Wood counties in West Virginia.
