Dowling Park, Fla.-Mrs. Hilda Harms Wood, 94, died Saturday, January 30, 1993 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park, Fla.
She was born in Panola (Illinois) and later a resident of Brewton, New York. She lived at Dowling Park since 1970. She was a school teacher and received her bachelor of arts degree from Aurora College, Aurora, her master of arts degree from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and also studied at Kent University and the University of Chicago. Mrs. Wood was a high school teacher and a graduate assistant instructor at Syracuse University and during the war taught congressional appointees to West Point at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. She was a member of the Pi Lamda Theta, American Association of University Women, Liveoak Women's Club and a member of the Bixler Memorial Church, Dowling Park.
Funeral services were held February 3, 1993 in the Bixler Memorial Chapel, Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park, Fla with interment following in the Bixler Memorial Gardens

Hilda married Harold B Wood on 30 August 1930. At the time, she was a school teacher in Effingham, Illinois. They later moved east. Hilda and Harold did not have any children..
