Marilyn J. Gebarowski, age 89, of Adrian Township passed away Sept. 15, 2014, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born April 14, 1925, in Homer, Mich., the daughter of Albert and Grace (Weiss) Andrus.
Marilyn married Leo Reynolds who passed away on Aug. 16, 1964.
She then married Joseph Gebarowski on May 4, 1968, who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2013.
Marilyn worked at Citizens Gas Fuel Company and then retired from the Adrian Board of Education.
She also volunteered with the Bixby Auxiliary.
Marilyn attended the Raisin Valley Friends Church.
She loved traveling, playing the piano and cooking for her family.
She is survived by seven children, Tina (Doug) Michling, Mike (Carol) Reynolds, Jolene (Ed) Taft, Debbie (Mike) Suganuma, Colette Gebarowski, Jeff (Linda) Reynolds and Jan Reynolds; and 74 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers, Buell and Gerald Andrus; one daughter, Marilee Taylor; and one great-granddaughter, Nihya (Said) Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Highway (M-52), Adrian, with Pastor Douglas Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
